BFCL procures manganese ore from some of the finest mines worldwide, including Kalahari, Ore & Metal, Eramet, and others. Sustainability
At BFCL, sustainability isn’t just an objective — it is our responsibility to future generations. Our 37 MWH captive power plant exemplifies this commitment by converting waste heat from sponge iron kilns into a steady supply of clean, green, and reliable electricity. Unlike intermittent renewable sources, our system ensures consistent green power generation by harnessing industrial waste hot gases from DRI kilns.
Our self-sustaining model meets 100% of our ferro alloy production needs, and significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Captive green power offsets a carbon impact equivalent to 15 million trees annually.
